Parkway Laboratory Services will be temporarily suspending the Hospitalised Pneumonia Panel (HPN) test with immediate effect and until further notice, due to a technical fault in the Unyvero machine.
To continue to support you and your patients, Hospitalised Pneumonia Panel (HPN) testing will be sent out routinely to Farrer Park Hospital. The expected turnaround time is 1-2 days. The sample type will be lower respiratory samples no less than 0.5ml of volume:
(i) Lavage (BAL),
(ii) Tracheal / Nasal / ETT Aspirates
(iii) Sputum
